Frequently asked questions
Everything you need to know about what Page Proof does, what data it touches, and how the plans work.
What does Page Proof do?
Page Proof is an on-page conversion-rate (CRO) auditor for Shopify. Paste any product, collection or landing-page URL and it reads the public page markup, then scores it on 9 weighted checks and returns a predicted conversion-readiness score with a prioritized, worst-first fix list. It is RO/COD (ramburs) aware. Scores are heuristic diagnostics from on-page markup, not measured conversion rates and not a guarantee of results.
How do I set it up?
Install the app from the Shopify App Store and open it. Page Proof automatically audits your store's home page on install; from there you paste any URL on the dashboard to audit a specific page, or use the Pages tab to batch-score your active catalog on a paid plan (up to 2,000 product pages per pass). There is nothing to configure and you never supply an API key.
Does Page Proof access my customers or orders?
No. Page Proof is Protected Customer Data Level 0. It requests only catalog and content scopes (read_products, write_products, read_content, write_content, read_online_store_pages, write_online_store_pages). It never requests read_orders or read_customers, and it stores no customer personally identifiable information, no order data and no payment data.
Does Page Proof use AI, and what data is sent?
Only for the optional AI copy-fix. When you choose to apply a fix, Page Proof sends your own product or page title and description to Anthropic, our LLM sub-processor, to generate a short, grounded reassurance block. Anthropic's commercial API terms apply: your content is not used to train models. Our own wrapper logs only metadata (model id, token counts, latency) and never stores the prompt or the generated text outside the reversible snapshot you can see and undo. No orders or customers are ever sent, because we never have them. AI fixes run on our own managed Anthropic key under your plan's credit quota.
Does it change my store?
Only when you explicitly approve an AI copy-fix. Auditing and scoring are read-only and change nothing. An approved fix appends a grounded copy block to a product or page description (via the write_products / write_content scopes) and is fully reversible: we snapshot the exact prior text so you can roll it back in one click. Page Proof never edits themes, prices, inventory, orders or customers.
What is free and what is paid?
Free ($0/month) lets you audit and score any URL one at a time, with the DIY fix playbook for every check. Pro ($29/month) adds batch catalog audits (up to 2,000 product pages per pass), history, and 250 AI copy-fix credits per month (1 credit per fix). Scale ($79/month) raises that to 800 credits per month for high-volume catalogs. Optional one-time credit packs (100 for $15, 300 for $39) extend a busy month and never expire. Auditing and scoring are always free and unlimited; the only metered action is the AI copy-fix.
What happens when I uninstall, and how is GDPR handled?
Uninstalling cancels any active subscription and immediately deletes the access token we hold for your store. Your audit and fix history is erased when Shopify sends its shop/redact webhook, which it does about 48 hours after an uninstall — that cascade-deletes every row we hold for your shop. Page Proof also implements the other mandatory privacy webhooks: customers/data_request and customers/redact truthfully report that we hold no customer data. You can request deletion sooner, or at any time, at privacy@syncerp.work.
How do I get help?
Email support@syncerp.work for product help, or privacy@syncerp.work for privacy and data-deletion requests. You can also read our Privacy Policy, Terms of Service and Protected Customer Data disclosure from the app's public pages.
