Methodology
How the conversion score works
Page Proof reads the public markup of a page and runs nine weighted on-page conversion checks. Each check passes, warns or fails; the weighted result becomes a 0–100 score.
PREDICTED (heuristic) The score predicts on-page conversion readiness from markup — it is not a measured conversion rate, an A/B test, or a guarantee of sales. Two pages with the same score can convert differently; use it to find and fix obvious on-page blockers.
RO / COD awareness
Page Proof auto-detects whether a page targets a Romanian / cash-on-delivery audience (from on-page language and currency) and, when it does, weights the levers that actually move EU/RO conversions: plata la livrare (ramburs) and livrare gratuită. International pages are scored on the equivalent free-shipping signal instead.
The nine checks
Primary CTA
18Is there one clear add-to-cart / buy action (RO: "Adaugă în coș", "Comandă acum")?
Visible price
14Is the price shown clearly and near the CTA?
Social proof / reviews
14Are ratings/reviews surfaced (Judge.me, Loox, Okendo, Yotpo, schema, or visible recenzii)?
Trust signals
12Returns policy, guarantee, secure-checkout and money-back cues (RO: garanție, retur, securizat).
Cash-on-delivery (ramburs)
12For RO/COD stores: is "plata la livrare" / ramburs reassurance present? (Weighted only for RO market.)
Shipping info
10Is delivery time/cost stated (livrare, expediere)?
Free shipping offer
8Is a free-shipping offer or threshold surfaced (livrare gratuită / transport gratuit)?
Urgency / scarcity
6An HONEST low-stock or time-limited cue (stoc limitat, ultimele) — never fabricated.
Mobile viewport
6Is a <meta name=viewport> present so the page renders on phones?
How the number is built
Each check contributes its full weight when it passes, half when it warns, and zero when it fails. The score is round(100 × earned / total weight) over the checks that apply to the detected market. The action list is sorted worst-first by weight, so the top item is the biggest predicted win.
